CALNO (Council of Local Governments) Meeting – April 7, 2010
Mayor John Maingot of Longwood presented a legislative update. Thirty-two unfunded mandates have been presented this session. One bill is #1385; cities cannot deny building permits for contaminated sites.
Deputy Mayor Gary Brender of Lake Mary was reappointed to the Seminole County Expressway Authority.
City of Sanford’s special election for the late Jack Bridges seat has been scheduled for June 15.
The city of Oviedo was once again listed as one of the top 100 cities in the nation by Re-Loc.
Next meeting will be at the Seminole County Commission chambers on May 5, 7 p.m.
